Sheila Simpson

Sheila Simpson serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at BKR H/LL, where she leads the strategy, creation, and execution of people-focused initiatives designed to elevate the employee experience and strengthen Baker Hill’s culture. Since joining in 2024, she has been committed to making BKR H/LL an employer of choice, overseeing all aspects of human resources including payroll, total rewards, compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, and engagement programs that empower employees to do their best work.

With more than 30 years of experience advocating for employees and partnering with business leaders, Sheila brings a career marked by leadership across sales, finance, customer service, marketing, and HR. For the past 15 years, she has focused on human resources as her true passion—guiding organizations through talent management, compliance, compensation, and culture-building. She previously served as Regional HR Leader at the Dow Chemical Company, Managing Director of HR at the NCAA, and Vice President and CHRO at Intelinair, a growing ag tech company where she established people processes across U.S. and international teams.

Sheila is recognized for her ability to lead large-scale HR strategies during times of transformation, including global expansions, organizational restructuring, and change management initiatives. Her work has earned her recognition through HR leadership awards, serving as an HR panel speaker and contributions to thought leadership on employee engagement and organizational culture.

Outside of work, Sheila enjoys traveling both domestically and abroad with her husband, their three adult children, and close friends. At home, she devotes time to caring for her two adopted rescue dogs. Also central to Sheila’s heart is her service to under-represented communities locally, domestically and internationally. Whether at work or in life, Sheila’s leadership is rooted in empathy, resilience, and a belief that people are the driving force behind every achievement.
